We need your help!

Des Moines Menace fans, our resident mascot, Maniac, has narrowed down his favorite five goals from the Menace’s run to the Premier Development League’s regular-season title. With many spectacular goals, Maniac is having a tough time picking the winner.
Because of Maniac’s indecisiveness, we are asking our loyal fans to check out this video of Maniac’s choices, and cast your vote for your favorite.
We are opening up a few different channels for you to vote: Comment on our Facebook post, tweet us @MenaceSoccer, comment on the YouTube video, or email Matthew.DeWitt@MenaceSoccer.com with the subject line “Goal of the Year” with your vote. Voting will be open through Tuesday, July 29. One vote per person, please – Spread the word!
After receiving more than 200 votes, Sean Dong's goal against WSA Winnipeg is the winner! Thank you to all those who participated!
Sean Hoek at St. Louis, May 25
Hoek’s goal opened the scoring in a 2-0 win over the Lions in the second game of the season. On the road in sunny St. Peters, Mo., Hoek collected a pass from fellow returner Nico Wright, and one-timed a shot just inside the far post.
Use the code “Menace1” to vote for Hoek’s goal.
Ralph Lundy vs. Chicago, June 7
Lundy’s came in a 3-0 rout of the Inferno. It was Lundy’s first of three goals this season. The defensive play turned into an offensive tally, as Lundy left his leg out to deflect a pass. The deflection caught the Inferno goalkeeper sleeping and trickled into the back of the net.
Use the code “Menace2” to vote for Lundy’s goal.
Rich Ballard vs. St. Louis, July 12
Ballard tallied his first goal in a Menace uniform in a 1-1 draw with the Lions. It came at a none-bigger time, as Ballard’s strike evened the game. The draw was enough for Des Moines to clinch its first PDL Heartland Division title since 2009.
Use the code “Menace3” to vote for Ballard’s goal.
Michael Semenza vs. WSA Winnipeg, July 18
Semenza’s free kick capped an impressive offensive display against Winnipeg. His goal in the 89th minute was the final score in the 5-0 win – the largest for Des Moines in four years.
Use the code “Menace4” to vote for Semenza’s goal.
Sean Dong vs. WSA Winnipeg, July 19
Dong’s goal was the last for the Menace in the regular season. His goal in the 81st minute came off a volley from 30-plus yards out, at a time nobody expected it. Dong’s only PDL goal iced a 2-0 win that solidified the team’s regular-season title.
Use the code “Menace5” to vote for Dong’s goal.
