Last year, we were proud to recognize honorary co-captains, Lee Jepson and Ben Tesene.
Lee was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 4 and underwent 4 years of chemotherapy. Lee is a fun and loving boy who enjoys playing short sessions of soccer with his friends and watching games on TV. We are proud to announce that Lee has spent the past two years cancer free!
Ben was also diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 3 followed by three years of chemotherapy. Ben is a thriving 11 year old who loves math and soccer. He plays defender for VSA and loves every minute he gets to play with his friends. We are proud to announce that Ben remains in remission today!
At halftime of last season's Kick Childhood Cancer Night, we also honored and recognized 9 children in their cancer journeys.
