• Player Responsibilities:
    • Communicable disease waiver MUST be on file
    • Wear masks to and from the fields (don’t need to wear them while playing).
    • Arrive to and from field fully dressed and ready to go.
    • Do not share water bottles, drinks, snacks, pinnies, etc.
    • No group huddles, high fives, hugs, chest bumps, etc.
    • Congratulate and round of applause to opponents after game. No handshakes or high fives during this.
    • Bring hand sanitizer to games and use often.
    • If have a known exposure to Covid-19, or show any signs/symptoms, do not come to tournament. Tell parent and/or coach and follow CDC recommendations.
  • Coach Responsibilities:
    • Masks required.
    • Maintain minimum of 6 feet of physical distance; during injury may not be possible.
    • Ask each player before the game begins if they feel sick or have any symptoms; instruct them to go home if they answer “yes”.
    • When players are sitting out, ensure they stay 6 feet of physical distance apart.
    • Do not provide communal water, drinks, etc. and reinforce with players to bring own.
    • Reinforce behavior: no handshakes, high fives, sharing water bottles, etc.
  • Parents & Spectators Responsibilities:
    • Recommended only 2 people per player.
    • Child’s communicable disease waiver MUST be on file
    • Recommended to wear mask to/from and during the match. Wear mask when interacting with other spectators, coaches, referees, or other players within a 6-foot distance.
    • Must sit 10 feet away from the sideline (behind the dashed painted line).
    • Always maintain minimum of 6 feet of physical distance from other family units.
    • Stay home if you have any signs or symptoms of being sick.
    • Parents – if your child is feeling sick or has any symptoms, they should stay home.
  • Referee Responsibilities:
    • Masks required during pregame check and when arriving and leaving the fields.
    • Only use own equipment; if it must be shared, sanitize before and after use by another.
    • Role is not to enforce the protocol; role is to note and report instances of non-compliance to appropriate people.
  • Pregame Check
    • Players must stand 6 feet apart during the equipment check.
    • Referees/AR’s will sanitize hands before and after handling player passes during roster check. Masks are required for Referees, players, and coaches during the pregame check.
  • Injury Protocols
    • Assessment/treatment of an injured player should not be delayed if best practices cannot be followed
    • When the referee signals, send only one coach to the injured player (coach should already be masked). Coach should bring 2 clean/unused masks to the field
    • Coach provides unused mask to injured player prior to speaking to player to assess his/her status
    • Coach mindful of keeping 6 feet of physical distance as possible if/until it is determined player needs assistance or needs help to get off the field
    • If injured player needs help off the field that requires an additional person, coach first signals to player’s parent (if present) and provides unused mask to parent. If parent is not onsite, coach should signal to a team member, providing unused mask to him/her.
    • As possible after exiting the field coach, injured player, and anyone who assisted should clean hands with sanitizer
  • Additional Info for Tournaments:
    • Following the CDC guidelines, if you (player/coach/parent) fall into the high-risk categories for contracting COVID-19, you are discouraged from coming to practice (/camps/tournaments, etc.) due to the potential risk of exposure.
    • Please do not arrive more than 20 minutes before game time to allow time for previous game to leave.
    • No concession stands.
    • No hanging out around the fields after game is complete. Exit the fields immediately.
    • Player/Coach/Parent/Referee Responsibility:  If a child/coach/player has been in contact with anyone that has recently tested positive or has been in or currently is in quarantine, or if they are sick or showing symptoms, they should not attend any games in the tournament.
    • Teams will be placed on opposite sides of the field. The spectators of those fans will sit on the other half of that same side of field as their team (see image below).
