WHO: Des Moines Menace vs. WSA Winnipeg

WHAT: Student Night/Drake Stadium Home Opener

WHEN: Friday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. (gates open at 6:30PM)

WHERE: Drake Stadium (2719 Forest Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311)

TICKETS: $10 for adults (18 and older) and $8 for youth (ages 6-17). Free admission for ages 5 and under. $20 for a VIP ticket. Purchase online here for discounted tickets! Check with your local soccer club to learn your promo code to save on tickets as well.

VIP TICKETS: VIP seating is located on the second floor of the Drake Press Box. Beer and wine can be purchased and consumed in this area but cannot leave the suite. 

 

PROMOTIONS: The first 100 fans will receive magnet schedules. Raising Cane’s prize wheel & Raising Cane’s Challenge. If the Menace score 3 goals then all fans can redeem their tickets at Raising Cane’s for a BOGO chicken offer! Live acoustic music from Ron Burchett.

PARKING: VIP Parking is located to the west of Drake Stadium. The northwest lot will be reserved for VIP’s and spots will be available for handicap parking. The southwest lot will be the tailgate party zone. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE VIP/TAILGATE LOT FROM CLARK ST (FOREST AVE WILL BE GATED OFF DUE TO TRAFFIC CONCERNS). Street parking is available in abundance around the stadium, as well as free parking lots, which you can find in this parking map.

TAILGATE: Come one come all. Join the Red Army Supporters' Group for a FREE pregame tailgate!  Festivities begin two hours before kickoff at every home Menace game! Food and adult beverages are welcome. MUST HAVE A VIP PARKING PASS FOR VEHICLE ENTRANCE, but all fans are welcome to walk over and join in one the fun.

KIDS’ ACTIVITES: Menace kick center, street soccer and inflatable bounce house will be up and ready to go!

BEFORE THE GAME: In the hour leading up to game time, Raising Cane’s will have a prize wheel set up where fans can spin for a chance to win free swag. Children are invited on the field, starting at 7:20, for the human tunnel – Give high fives to the players as they enter the field for lineup introductions. We’ll also have live music from Ron Burchett along with tons of prizes to be won from the Kick Center in the Plaza.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Sadie Waugh will perform O Canada and the National Anthem.

FIRST HALF: Stop by the info table before kickoff to play “Minute to Win It” where you can win a $25 Jethro’s gift card if you’re able to guess what will happen in the first half. Get your Chuck-for-a-Buck balls to give yourself a chance at a plethora of prizes including 50 bags of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

HALFTIME: In addition to Chuck-for-a-Buck (Buy your red rubber balls during the first half, and take aim at sponsor prizes at the start of halftime), we’ll have performances by groups from Dance-A-Cross followed by a wing eating contest sponsored by Jethro’s.

SECOND HALF: T-SHIRT TOSS. When the Menace staff gets ready to throw free “shirt jerseys” into the stands, make sure you’re cheering the loudest so they know who to toss it to!

AFTER THE GAME: Meet the Menace players on the field for autographs and pictures. Join the players and coaches at Jethro’s BBQ Drake for the Official Postgame Party of the Menace.
