A new season brings a new series of player spotlights.
First up is a first-year Menace forward from the Far East.
Though Kino Ryosuke calls Hyogo, Japan his hometown, he’s spent
the last two school years about an hour’s drive from Des Moines.
In 34 matches spanning two seasons at Marshalltown
Community College, Kino collected a school-record 41 goals
(with 15 game-winners) and also assisted 14 scores.

FAVORITE SOCCER TEAM, and WHY
F.C. Barcelona, because they are the best team in the world.
They play beautiful soccer.
PREDICTIONS FOR JAPAN IN THE 2018 WORLD CUP?
I don’t know. They changed their coach a couple days ago, so I don’t
know what will happen. Hopefully they get past group play.
WHY THE MENACE?
Because I thought this environment will help me improve as a player
and a person. It’s nice to stay in Iowa this summer.
Thanks, Kino, and welcome to the Menace!
