Former Menace, Leo Krupnik, Wins Israeli Title

Former Des Moines Menace player Leo Krupnik helped his Israeli team, Maccabi Haifa, win the Israeli Premier League Title. Krupnik was part of the Des Moines Menace team that went undefeated in 2002.

May 27, 2009—Former Des Moines Menace player Leo Krupnik helped his Israeli team, Maccabi Haifa, win the Israeli Premier League Title. Krupnik was part of the Des Moines Menace team that went undefeated in 2002.

 

Krupnik came to the Menace in 2002 following his senior season at Cal University. After his lone season with the Menace, he went on to play for two USL teams: the Wilmington Hammerheads and the Charleston Battery.  Leo left for  the Israel Premier League in 2005, and he joined Maccabi Haifa in 2008.

 

With Maccabi Haifa’s 2-0 win over Maccabi Netanya, the team qualifies for next year’s UEFA Champions League qualifying round.
