In a recent article posted on the Des Moines Register's Web site, five players from the Menace Academy were featured as "Athletes to watch" for the upcoming high school soccer season.  It is interesting to note that all five players represent different high schools in the Des Moines metro. 

"The best part about the attention is that they are all really good kids on and off the field," said Casey Mann, the Menace's Director of Coaching. "We are proud that they represent the Menace, and we look forward to watching them do well for their schools."

The following players were recognized as "Athletes to watch":

 - Kelly Rapp, WDM Valley
 - Husref Jupic,  DM Hoover
 - Noel Medina, Urbandale
 - Ben Smiley,  Norwalk
 - Matt Carlson, Dowling Catholic
