The Menace has joined the social networking revolution and now you can follow the team's every move through Twitter and Facebook.

For those of you Menace fans who can't get enough of Iowa's premier soccer team, you can now get up-to-date information about the Menace through Facebook and Twitter in addition to MenaceSoccer.com.  And in case you're new to the whole social networking revolution we will get you up to speed on what these social networking services have to offer.

Facebook
Facebook has been around since 2004, and originated as a website where college students could network with one another.  What was once limited to one school (Harvard), expanded into all Ivy League colleges, and then expanded to all college and university students.  Facebook is now available to business, organizations, and anyone 13 or older.

The Menace use facebook as another way to connect and communicate with fans across the country.  We will be using facebook to promote events, share photos, and provide status updates on what is new with our organization.

Twitter
Twitter, founed in 2006, is a social networking and microblogging site that allows users to provide updates of up to 140 characters long.  This service is primarily used so users can know what their friends are doing.  Many businesses and organizations have also adopted Twitter to keep followers informed on what they deam "news worthy."

The Menace plan to use Twitter not only to keep you up-to-date on the daily happenings, but also to provide live updates of all Menace home matches.  Anyone can go to Twitter.com and view the Menace's list of updates (www.twitter.com/MenaceSoccer), but you must become a member to send us a message or post an update yourself.  Becoming a member is free and it's a great way to stay connected with your favorite soccer club.

Menace Blog
In addition to Facebook and Twitter, we have also created the Menace Blog which can be found on the bottom of the sports section of www.dmregister.com, or  you can get direct access by clicking here. We update our blog many times a week and would love to hear your feedback about what you would like to see on the blog.
