Cline Signs with UCLA

Chelsea Cline, a former Menace Academy standout and Des Moines native, signed her letter of intent to join the UCLA women's soccer team in 2009.

Chelsea Cline, along with 7 other incoming freshman, signed her letter of intent to play soccer at the University of California Los Angeles in 2009.  Cline was a highly sought after recruit, ranked 13th in the class of 2009 by Top Drawer Soccer.  Cline played for the Des Moines Menace Academy for several seasons before joining the Chicago Eclipse.  Cline now plays for Shattuck St. Mary's in Minnesota where she trains year-round.  Last summer Cline was a standout player for the Minnesota Lightning, a member of the United Soccer Leagues W-League.  Cline is the daughter of Jim and Kim Cline.
