Des Moines Menace tease 2025 season with new crest, merch, ticket options and kids club
DES MOINES, Iowa (Jan. 27, 2025) — New year, new Menace. Off the heels of a successful 30th anniversary season, the Des Moines Menace are all in for 2025 with a fresh new look and fan engagement opportunities. As the Menace prepare for first kick in May, the organization is excited to introduce a new crest, merchandise, ticket offerings and a kids club package.
“The new crest is a play on our 30th anniversary design and is inspired by ’90s nostalgia but with a refreshed, more modernized appeal,” says Oliver Krause, Menace general manager. “We can’t wait to see fans sport the new crest in-game as they return to Valley Stadium in May. And we hope our new fan offerings for the 2025 season encourage even more engagement and hype — from all age groups — as we seek to ‘Up the Menace’ this year.”
By embracing a ’90s-style design for the new logo, the Menace bridges its past and present, evoking memories from the past three decades in Des Moines, while making a bold, dynamic statement for today’s fans. The grimacing face on the traditional soccer ball (fondly known by some fans as “Angry Ball”) embodies the intensity and competitive edge that define the Menace’s playing style.
In addition to a revamped crest, new offerings for the 2025 season include:
New merchandise: From pullovers and hats to T-shirts and gear for the smallest fans, the new lineup of Menace merch — complete with the new crest — is available online at Des-Moines-Menace.square.site. The Menace have plans to release additional lines of merchandise leading up to and throughout the 2025 season.
New season ticket package with seat-upgrade option: For 2025, those purchasing season tickets can take advantage of a brand-new, upgraded seat-type option: midfield comfort seating. Midfield comfort seating includes comfort-style seats positioned in the two lower midfield sections of the General Admission seating at Valley Stadium. Seats come with a preplaced cushion seat back. The Midfield Comfort Seating package is available for $125 and can be purchased at MenaceSoccer.com/season-memberships.
Maniac’s Minis Club: Membership to the new Maniac’s Minis Club costs $25 and is a fun option for the youngest fans that includes two Menace ticket vouchers, merchandise and exclusive memorabilia. The package also features unique fan engagement experiences throughout the season. More details can be found at MenaceSoccer.com/maniacsminisclub.
“The Menace are all in for 2025 with these new and upgraded opportunities,” says Krause. “We remember our past 30 years fondly, but we look forward to the next chapter for the Menace. Going into our 31st season seemed like the perfect time to hit refresh with a nod to our past but with hopeful eyes to the future. We’re excited for what’s to come!”
The Des Moines Menace kick off the 2025 season this spring. The full schedule will be released in the coming weeks, along with other exciting news regarding the team’s head coach, jersey partnerships, theme nights, promotions and more.
