Menace advance! On the back of two outstanding penalty kicks from team captain, Sacha Kljestan, the Menace outlasted Sporting KCII (and horrendous wind gusts and snow) with a 2-1 victory.

It took a complete group effort and some tactful subbing as the Menace pulled off the official Round 1 “Cupset”. Des Moines’ hometown hero, Leroy Enzugusi, provided his patented spark off the bench that led to Kljestan’s game winning PK.

What’s next? Round 2 matches are scheduled for April 1-2. Details on the Menace’s opponent, date, time, and match location will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more information which will be shared on the hub.
