The Menace’s 2025 Open Cup run officially came to an end last week, as the squad fell 2-1 to USL1 club Union Omaha at Valley Stadium.
While the result on the field didn’t go our way, it was the only disappointment on what was otherwise a truly magical night. Hosting a roster filled with former MLS All-Stars and Olympians right here in Des Moines — on our home turf — was a dream come true.
Even more remarkable was the response from our community. Thanks to your support, we welcomed the second-largest crowd in Menace history - second only to the team’s National Championship win in 2021!
To everyone who played a part in making this match special — thank you.
This year’s Open Cup journey may be over, but its impact will be felt for a long, long time.
