Des Moines, IA - Des Moines Menace forward Dominick Bachstein (Malvern, PA) was named to the USL League Two Team of the Month for his play in June, the league announced on Tuesday.

"Dominick Bachstein has been a nightmare for opposing defenses," the league's release stated. "The six-foot-three-inch forward is coming off a monster season at Drexel [University] with 18 goal contributions in 16 games. He followed that up with 10 contributions [assists/goals] in League Two, including six goals in June. As Des Moines gears up for a playoff run, Bachstein is a scary sight for those who get in his way. "

Des Moines ranks second in USL League Two in team goals with 35. Bachstein's 8 goals are tied for third-best in the country and has found the back of the net in six consecutive matches.

Bachstein and the Menace continue play at Peoria City on Wednesday, July 2. Already solidifying a playoff berth, the Menace can clinch the Great Plains Division title with a victory in Peoria. Kick off from Shea Stadium is scheduled for 7:30, with the match streaming on SportsEngine Plus. The Big Grove Brewery Taproom in Des Moines will be hosting a watch party for Menace fans.
