Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

Another source of pride is the organization’s appearances in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup – one of the longest-running North American tournaments that gives amateur teams the chance to compete against professional opponents. On three occasions, the Menace have faced Major League Soccer teams in the U.S. Open Cup, most recently in 2013 against Sporting Kansas City. The Menace played in front of 15,000 fans at Sporting Park, losing 2-0 against the defending Cup champion and eventual MLS Cup champion.
