The first-ever Des Moines Menace women's team will play four home matches at Valley Stadium in 2012. The team opens at home on May 19, against defending Women's League Soccer champion FC indiana.

The Des Moines Menace's 19th Premier Development League season opens with a bang, in the form of a May 4-5 Opening Weekend doubleheader against Real Colorado. All home action starts at 7:30 p.m. at Valley Stadium.

Lance Rozeboom, Matt Kuhn and Logan McDaniel were chosen in the Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft on Jan. 17. D.C. United selected Rozeboom and Kuhn, and the Portland Timbers picked McDaniel.

With the 15th selection in the Jan. 12 Major League SuperDraft, Seattle Sounders FC made Andrew Duran the 23rd former Menace player drafted by an MLS team. Duran, a defender from Creighton, helped the Menace reach the 2011 postseason.

The Menace Kick around the Clock indoor tournament returns to Soccer House in February! The egistration deadline is Friday, Jan. 20 at noon. Divisions for this overnight event: high school boys (U16 and U18 divsions) - high school girls - U14 coed - U14 girls - U12 coed - U12 girls
