The Des Moines Menace received goals from seven different players on Saturday night, en route to a 7-2 exhibition win over the Minnesota Twinstars at Valley Stadium. The team closes the regular season with home matches each of the next two Saturdays.

The Des Moines Menace hosts the St. Paul Twin Stars this Saturday. St. Paul is a member of the National Premier Soccer League, rival of the Premier Development League. The Menace hopes this exhibition match will get them back on track. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Valley Stadium.

The Des Moines Menace is teaming up with Play It Forward to donate soccer equipment to children in need. The organization donates to kids locally, nationally and internationally. The Menace is offering tickets for $5 each to this Saturday's game against St. Paul for fans who bring equipment.

Menace players are from seven of the 32 nations in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. These are the final three players profiled in the Menace's World Cup series. Each was surprised by his country's performance; however, as the tournament winds down, two were a bit more disappointed than the other.

The Thunder Bay Chill scored two goals in the first 10 minutes, and the Menace never recovered, losing 3-1 Saturday at Valley Stadium. Logan McDaniel's (pictured) fourth goal was too little, too late, for the Menace, which hopes for a miracle to reach the PDL playoffs.

The Menace hosts arch-rival Thunder Bay on Saturday, needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt. Fans are invited to celebrate Independence Day with the Menace, with a pre-game picnic (4:30 to 6:30) and post-game fireworks.
