Just three days after his 19th birthday, Danny Cruz became a professional soccer player. The former Menace star signed a contract with Generation adidas on Tuesday and awaits his fate in next week's Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

Nicki Patterson, the Menace's leading scorer in 2008, is the subject of a feature story on the United Soccer League's Web site. The UNLV senior from Scotland got some looks from pro teams at the USL Men's Player Showcase in Charleston, S.C. earlier this month.
